Mission Apollo is a space-themed escape room that puts participants through a series of challenging, mission-inspired puzzles and tasks. From decoding alien languages and cracking timed puzzles to solving the Clock Puzzle and completing an ISS Docking Simulation, every stage tests logic, observation, teamwork, and quick thinking. The event offers an immersive space exploration experience where participants work together to complete the mission before time runs out!
Solar Soiree - Sungazing
Sungazing offers participants a rare opportunity to observe the Sun through a Hydrogen Alpha Telescope and witness fascinating solar phenomena such as sunspots, prominences, flares, and granules. As the first event of its kind at VIT Chennai, it combines scientific learning with real-time astronomical observation.
Stargazing
The session will include live sky navigation, mythology behind constellations, and discussions about space exploration.
Infinity Chase
Infinity Chase transforms the campus into a thrilling, Marvel-inspired treasure hunt where teams race to collect all six Infinity Stones. Participants decode clues, solve puzzles, and complete exciting mini-challenges at different locations across the campus. Combining strategy, teamwork, speed, and agility, the event keeps participants on the edge as they race to complete the ultimate Infinity Chase!
Skill Up SEDS
Skill Up SEDS is a hands-on workshop designed to introduce members to the fundamentals of Arduino and embedded systems. Participants explore Arduino architecture, programming, sensors, and circuit interfacing through both Tinkercad simulations and live experiments. The workshop combines theory with practical learning, helping members build confidence in electronics, coding, and developing their own embedded projects.
NISAR Launch
NISAR Launch brings the excitement of space exploration to campus through a live screening of the NASA–ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite launch. Students, faculty, and space enthusiasts witness the historic launch in real time while exploring the mission, satellite technology, and its scientific significance through interactive explanations and quizzes. The event celebrates the collaboration between NASA and ISRO while fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for space science.
Stellar Pulse: Variable Stars, AAVSO and You
Stellar Pulse: Variable Stars, AAVSO and You is an interactive session that takes participants into the fascinating world of variable stars and observational astronomy. The session explores stellar variability, light curves, and stellar photometry while introducing participants to AAVSO and its citizen-science tools. It highlights how astronomy enthusiasts can contribute to real astronomical research and become a part of the global community of citizen scientists.
Starry Feud
Starry Feud brings the classic Family Feud format into the world of space and astronomy. Teams go head-to-head, guessing the most popular answers across space exploration, astrophysics, astronomy, and sci-fi. With quick thinking, unexpected answers, and plenty of friendly rivalry, the event turns space trivia into a fun, high-energy cosmic showdown.
Cosmonova
A 30 hour space-themed hackathon where Dr. M. Jayakumar, PSLV Project Director, and Mr. Uchit Modi, Software Development Engineer at Catalyx Space, as our distinguished chief guests. Their inspiring addresses motivated participants to push their boundaries and think beyond conventional solutions.
